Senior Research Scientist for SAMEER Recruitment 2024
- - Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications
- Essential Qualification – Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Technology (B.E. or B. Tech.) or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (ME or M. Tech) in the field of Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls, Microwaves or Masters in Electronics (M.Sc. Electronics) from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks
- Experience & Job Description – Experience: 5 years design and development experience. Candidate is required to have 5 years’ experience in few or more of the relevant areas such as digital communications, control systems & instrumentation, analog circuits, digital circuits, signal processing, image processing, working knowledge of hardware programming languages, hands-on experience of technical design software’s such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, HFSS, CST etc and high level programming languages.
  - Physics
- Essential Qualification – Master Degree in Science (MSc) Physics from a recognized university OR B. Tech. (Engineering Physics) from IIT/NIT with minimum 55% marks
- Desirable: candidates having experience in processing of vacuum tubes.
- Experience & Job Description – 5 years’ design and development experience. Candidate is required to have 5 years research experience in field of Accelerator Physics/ Radiation Physics/ Vacuum systems/ Monte Carlo Simulations/ Medical Physics etc.

- Job Description – Candidate is required to have interest and ability to work in few or more of the following domain areas – Design & Development of Electronics/RF sub-systems, Analysis, Integration and testing of Electronic/RF/Microwave components, embedded processing for FPGA/ ARM based processors, PLC/ FPGA based Control Systems and similar activities, data processing and monitoring systems, high power pulsed systems & EMI/C Test and Measurements activities such as Antennas/RF/System calibration, characterization etc

- Job Description – Implementation of Industrial safety standards and protocols at workplace including electrical, fire, mechanical safety Implementation of safe work practices at work place Implementation of internal safety audit and supporting for documentation for third party audit.

- Job Description – Vacuum Tube processing, design experimentation, monitoring, analysis, test bench reports, integration & evaluation activities and maintenance activities, PI and VI activities, maintenance of test equipment etc.
  - Mechanical
- Essential Qualification – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognised technical board with minimum of 55% marks
- Job Description – Engineering Drawing, Prototyping and Fabrication of mechanical designs, inspection of fabricated jobs, inspection reports, monitoring integration and stores for raw materials of mechanical designs / jobs

- Job Description – Electronics/Microwave component level soldering, cabling, harnessing, assembly of modules, Physical and Visual Inspections, laboratory upkeep and maintenance, assisting in field evaluation etc.
  - Electrical
- Essential Qualification – Candidate should have passed ITI (Electrical) from govt. affiliated board of technical/vocational education and completed NCTVT with minimum of 55% marks.
- Job Description – Electronics/Microwave subsystem processes, operation and maintenance of Hydrogen and Vacuum Furnaces, related electrical equipment such as switch boards, cabling, pumps, coils etc and general upkeep of facility.
  - Fitter
- Essential Qualification – Candidate should have passed ITI (Fitter) from govt. affiliated board of technical/vocational education and completed NCTVT with minimum of 55% marks
- Job Description – Fitting activities including drilling, tapping, cutting and bending, assembly of parts, housing and overall equipment/system. General upkeep of facility.
  - Machinist
- Essential Qualification – Candidate should have passed ITI (Machinist) from govt. affiliated board of technical/vocational education and completed NCTVT with minimum of 55% marks
- Job Description – Machining of precision components on milling machines in tool room type workshops and general upkeep of facility.
  - Welder
- Essential Qualification – Candidate should have passed ITI (Welder) from govt. affiliated board of technical/vocational education and completed NCTVT with minimum of 55% marks.
- Job Description – Welding of fabrication assy., mech. components, process fabrication etc. and general upkeep of facility.
  - Electroplater
- Essential Qualification – Candidate should have passed ITI (Electroplater/Chemical) from recognised technical board with minimum of 55% marks.
- Job Description – Assisting in Electroplating and Surface finishing of jobs using chemical treatment processes, handling of Chemicals, maintenance of facility etc.

(i) Applications for all POSTS will be accepted ONLINE only.

(ii) All interested candidates must login to https://recruit.sameer.gov.in till midnight of the CLOSING DATE of the advertisement. Instructions along with deadline for filling the forms are available in the same link. Once candidate fills the online information, s/he can edit it as s/he wants. Finally, the candidate/applicant must CLICK “FINAL SUBMIT” on which a PDF file will be generated. Candidates are required to get a printout of the PDF file and bring it along will all the originals and one set of photo-copies of all the
original documents when appearing for the written test and interview.

(iii) Candidates will NOT be allowed to appear for the written test / interview without print-out of the online submitted form (PDF file) as indicated above.

(iv) Result of screening test (written examination) will be announced and only those candidates who qualify will be called for interviews on the same date or on date scheduled which will be announced accordingly.

(v) Candidates should possess the prescribed experience in the one or more of the relevant fields as mentioned under the column “Experience” with documentary proof.

(vi) The experience gained in Research Scientists/or equivalent posts will only be counted as relevant experience for Sr. Research Scientist. Crucial date for counting experience will be the closing date of applications. The relevant experience possessed before acquiring the essential qualifications will not be counted. Selection will be made purely on merit and mere work experience of SAMEER will be no ground for preference.
