Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has issued a notification for the Agriculture Services Exam 2024. Candidates who are interested in the vacancy information and have met all qualifying requirements can read the notification and apply online.

Educational Qualifications for UPPSC Agriculture Services Exam 2024
  • DISTT. HORTICULTURE OFFICER. GROUP–2 – B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.Sc. (Horticulture) degree from a recognised University or Institute. Preferential:– M.Sc. (Agriculture) degree in Horticulture/Fruits/Vegetable/Floriculture from a recognised university or Institute. (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period or two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • PRINCIPAL STATE FOOD SCIENCE TRAINING CENTER/FOOD PROCESSING OFFICER, GROUP–2 – B.Sc. (with Chemistry as a subject) from a recognised University or institute or B.Sc. (Agriculture) from a recognised University or institute followed by two years Post-graduate Associate Course in Fruit and Vegetable Technology from Government Food Processing and Technology Institute, Lucknow or any other recognised institute, or M.Sc. (Food Technology)/M.Sc. (Food preservation)/M.Sc. (Food Science) from a recognised University or institute. Preferential:– (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • U.P. AGRICULTURE SERVICES GROUP ‘B’, GRADE–2 (CHEMISTRY BRANCH) – Postgraduate degree in Agricultural Chemistry, Soil Science or Soil Conservation from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Govt. as equivalent thereto. Preferential:– Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science or Soil Conservation from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • U.P. AGRICULTURE SERVICES GROUP ‘B’, GRADE–2 (BOTANY BRANCH) – Postgraduate degree in Agricultural Botany or Post–graduate degree in Plant Breeding with Genetics; or Postgraduate degree in Botany with specialisation in Plant Breeding or Genetics; or Postgraduate degree in Forestry from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. Preferential:– Ph.D. degree in any of the above mentioned disciplines from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • U.P. AGRICULTURE SERVICES GROUP ‘B’, GRADE–2 (AGRONOMY BRANCH) – Postgraduate degree in Agronomy from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. Preferential:– Ph.D. degree in Agronomy from a university established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps
  • U.P. AGRICULTURE SERVICES GROUP ‘B’, GRADE–2 (PLANT PROTECTION BRANCH) – Postgraduate degree in Entomology or Plant Pathology or M.Sc. (Botany) with specialisation in Plant Pathology or M.Sc. (Zoology) with specialisation in Entomology from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. Preferential:– Ph.D. degree in Entomology or Plant Pathology from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • U.P. AGRICULTURE SERVICES GROUP ‘B’, GRADE–2 (DEVELOPMENT BRANCH) – Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • Senior Technical Assistant Group–A (Agronomy Branch) – Postgraduate degree in Agronomy from recognized university or institution must be a graduate in Agriculture Preferential:– (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • Senior Technical Assistant Group–A (Botany Branch) – Postgraduate degree in Entomology or Plant pathology from a recognized university or institution or M.Sc. (Plant Science) with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology must be a graduate in Agriculture. Preferential:– (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • Senior Technical Assistant Group–A (Chemistry Branch) – Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Chemistry, Soil Science, Soil Conservation from a recognized university or institution must be a graduate in Agriculture. Preferential:– (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • Senior Technical Assistant Group–A (Development Branch) – Postgraduate degree in the field relevant with agriculture from any recognized institution or university must be a graduate in Agriculture. Preferential:– (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.
  • Senior Technical Assistant Group–A (Plant Protection Branch) – Postgraduate degree in Agro Botany or Plant reproduction with Science of origin or Postgraduate degree in Botany with speciality in genetics or plant reproduction must be a graduate in Agriculture. Preferential:– (I)Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (ii) Obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet corps.

How to apply for UPPSC Agriculture Services Exam 2024

  • First Stage:- On clicking ‘Apply’, ‘Authenticate with O.T.R.’ will be displayed with respect to the examination and on clicking ‘Authenticate with O.T.R.’, ‘Have You Completed Your O.T.R. Registration’ will be displayed, in which the candidate will have to tick ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. If the candidate:-
    • (i) Ticks on ‘Yes’ and clicks on ‘Go’ button, ‘Enter your O.T.R. Number’ will be displayed wherein he/she has to fill O.T.R. Number and click on ‘Proceed’ button. On clicking ‘Proceed’ button, ‘Click here to Authenticate’ will be displayed, clicking whereupon the candidate may authenticate through O.T.P. received on his/her registered mobile no./email ID or O.T.R. password. The process of Authentication having been completed, all personal details of the candidate (as filled in O.T.R.) will be displayed automatically. The candidate will have to fill only essential qualification as required for the post.
    • (ii) Ticks on ‘No’ and clicks on ‘Go’ button:- (a) First of all, the candidate has to obtain One Time Registration Number from O.T.R. Web-portal (https://otr.pariksha.nic.in) of the Commission. (b) After obtaining O.T.R. number the candidate will have to apply online according to the process adopted in First Stage.
  • Second Stage:- The First Stage procedure having been completed the ‘Applicant Dashboard’ will automatically be displayed on the screen. The candidate will have to click on ‘Submit Details’ under ‘Application Part-2’ against applied post, thereafter the permanent and correspondence address along with application form will automatically be displayed on the screen from O.T.R. along with the preferential qualifications prescribed for the post. The candidate will have to choose Yes/No option against each preferential qualification according to his/her eligibility for the same.
  • Third Stage:- After the completion of the procedure of second stage, ‘Fee Confirmation Window’ will automatically be displayed on the screen under which upon clicking on ‘Yes’ option in front of ‘Proceed for fee payment’ Home page of ‘SBI MOPS’ will be displayed comprising of 03 modes of payment:- (i) NET BANKING (ii) CARD PAYMENTS and (iii) OTHER PAYMENT MODES.After payment of the required fee by any one of the above prescribed modes, ‘Payment Transaction Slip’ shall be displayed along with detail of fee payment, the print of which must be taken by clicking on ‘Printer Icon’. In the event of ‘Payment Failed’ the candidate has to go to ‘Candidate Dashboard Login’ and after filling the O.T.R. number proceed to authenticate through O.T.P. or O.T.R. password and click ‘Pending Payment’ to pay the fee, compulsorily for online application.
  • Fourth Stage:- After completing the procedure of the Third Stage the application form of the candidate will automatically be displayed on screen the print of which may be obtained by the candidate. If candidate does not complete the process of online application, his/her candidature will not be accepted for which he will entirely be responsible. The candidate will have to take the print of online application and keep it safe with himself / herself to produce it in the office of the commission when required in case of any discrepancy, else his/her request / claim will not be accepted. After applying, in case of any modification in the qualification of applied post, the candidate may click on ‘Candidate Dashboard Login’ of ‘Home Page’ to modify it only once till last date fixed for it.
Penalty – Wrong Answers for UPPSC Agriculture Services Exam 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

MOBILE PHONES BANNED for UPPSC Agriculture Services Exam 2024
  • The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
  • Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

    • Last Date for Fee reconciliation & Correction/Modification in Submitted Online Applications : 16-05-2024
    • Minimum Age Limit: 21 Years
    • Maximum Age Limit: 40 Years i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1984 and not later than July 1, 2003.
    • For PH candidates, the maximum age limit: 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1969.
    • Age relaxation is Applicable as Per Rules.
    • For UR/ EWS/ OBC: Rs.125/- (Application fee : Rs. 100/- + Online Processing fee Rs. 25/-)
    • For SC/ ST : RS. 65/- (Application fee: Rs. 40/- + Online Processing fee Rs. 25/-)
    • For Disabled Category Candidates: RS. 25/- (Application fee: Nil+ Online Processing fee Rs. 25/-)
    • For Ex-Servicemen Candidates: RS. 65/- (Application fee: Rs. 40/- + Online Processing fee Rs. 25/-)
